I have been asked many times by many people, "When and how did you start doing the things you do?" I guess I would start by saying that when I was a child, about 6 years old, my parents and I lived with an Indian tribe near Ellensburgh Wa. I became fascinated with their culture, especially the silver and bead works. That was where my yearning to become a silversmith started and in 1975 I took classes from a local artist and launched my career as a silversmith/teacher of jewelry making. I teach in the local school systems, colleges, senior centers and give private group and individual classes.
Since my father was a logger in Washington and Oregon, it was only natural for me to live primarily in the woods and learn to communicate with all types of animals. In 1994 a friend of mine, who is a very talented animal communicator asked if I would like to learn how to read the animals and make a profession of it. I said, "Of course", and I learned that animals really have a language of their own and they will share thoughts and deeds with you if you are willing to listen and thank them for sharing.
In 2002 I saw a person laying hands on another person and asked, "What is this that you are doing and what is it called." She replied, "It is Reiki and it is a method of helping people to clear their energy and heal themselves". I took lessons, loving every minute of them, and today I am a Reiki Master who travels and lectures about Reiki in expos and fairs throughout the country. In addition to my energy work I do Chakra Balancing and Past Life Regressions through Hypnotherapy. Liz Mitten Ryan and a group of very special horses, the “Edition Warm bloods” live on Gateway 2 Ranch in the Nicola Valley of British Columbia, Canada. This particular herd (presently numbering thirteen) has the luxury of living as a wild herd on 320 acres of grassland, forest, meadows and lakes. They each have their immediate family members, and together are descended from the original four mares, all half sisters from the same sire. Unlike a wild herd however, when the Edition Warm bloods return to their barn, they are afforded the benefit of a loving supportive interface with humans. Above all they are respected as important spiritual beings of immense value with much to contribute to the evolution of life.
