The purpose of our school is to assist you in developing and maintaining a deep soul connection with the horse. In the process, you'll develop skills necessary to give relief to horses in the form of bodywork...massage, myofascial release, and Reiki.

Courses are presented in two levels, each level consisting of five days, and are held in Merrimac, Wisconsin at Grand R Morgans Farm. Courses combine lecture, discussion, guided meditation, and lots of hands on practice with the horses. Horse handling skills are a prerequisite.

Level 1, The Foundation Course gets you started on equine anatomy, massage, energy work, and intuitive development.

Level 2, Advanced Course takes the above a step further and myofascial release is taught. Hands on and written exams are given at the end of level 2, along with follow-up field study.

Karen Braun, Instructor, is also available to do personal sessions for your horse, at your stable. Sessions are one hour in length.

Welcome to my site! I thank you and your pet thanks you! Do you have a pet who has a challenge? Maybe some problem that the vets say there isn't anything wrong with him--but you know there is? Sometimes pets develop problems due to emotional stress. Sometimes they take on their person's stress. I specialize specifically with pets, ailments, injuries. What I do is utilize my animal communication ability to have the pet tell me why the disfunction is there and everything that surrounds the reason you brought your animal to me. This may include the owner’s mental and physical state, and/or that of other household members. Once we get a clear picture of the problem, we then work through the mental root cause of the ailment and ask the pet if s/he can let go of it now. Once I get agreement from the pet that it will be okay to let go of the challenge, I then utilize my visualization skills to dislodge the disharmony and bring the animal back to health again. Generally, the chat changes things for the person also, and everyone is finally on the road to recovery.

Holistic Therapy Services is about education....educating the client to take responsibility for their own or their animal's health. Simple adjustments to diet, recommendations on stretches or other simple accupressure protocols and muscle testing for supplements can go a long way towards improving health. For example, allergies always relate to liver - so the place to attack allergies is to clean up the liver. Customized herbal tinctures and essential oil blends are made on a case by case basis. Two times per year a ten day certification class in alternative therapy and Accupressure is taught, and holistic health retreats are scheduled as needed - for clients alone, or with their pets in tow.

Journey To The Animals offers Animal Communication and Animal Healing (LONG DISTANCE HEALING). I communicate with your animal telepathically about anything, both during individual consultations and throughout my healing work. During communications, you, I, and your animal discuss problems, issues, needs, what is important to you and your animal, and find solutions.

Should healing be an option, I offer shamanic healing, soul retrieval, reiki, energy work, and animal counseling.

I find that soul retrieval, a holistic cornerstone of shamanic healing, can be useful in cases of emotional upset (anxiety, depression, loss, insecurity); physical problems (difficulty walking, back pain, and recovery from illness); and past traumas: abuse, stress, feeling depleted, life changes, and just plain “not feeling good.”

Soul retrieval returns soul parts that left an animal due to trauma, stress, shock, or illness. As part of its process, soul retrieval involves determining what your animal needs for healing (the answer may not be a retrieval), removing “intrusions” (non-self energies that filled the voids left by departing soul pieces), and counseling, which helps your animal integrate the returned soul pieces and change the belief/attitude complex that created soul loss in the first place. Counseling also provides support for you and your animal friend. In addition, ritual work helps clear “old stuff” of the past, releases charged emotions, and celebrates the new change.

Other elements of shamanic healing may also include power animal retrieval, “soul theft” recovery, energy work and other healing techniques guided by spiritual helpers, and psychopomp work (assisting and comforting an animal who has or is transitioning to the “other side”).

I also offer “emergency services,” for times of trauma, death, or disappearances, when you feel your animal needs immediate help. (I am not always home, but will get to you as soon as possible.)

Liz Mitten Ryan and a group of very special horses, the “Edition Warm bloods” live on Gateway 2 Ranch in the Nicola Valley of British Columbia, Canada. This particular herd (presently numbering thirteen) has the luxury of living as a wild herd on 320 acres of grassland, forest, meadows and lakes. They each have their immediate family members, and together are descended from the original four mares, all half sisters from the same sire. Unlike a wild herd however, when the Edition Warm bloods return to their barn, they are afforded the benefit of a loving supportive interface with humans. Above all they are respected as important spiritual beings of immense value with much to contribute to the evolution of life.

Over the last year these horses and their owner Liz Mitten Ryan have co-written two inspirational books; manuscripts of essential information for those who love horses and gifts of the earth in general.

One with the Herd, the first book, tells their story and explains the setting of their unusual circumstance, and book two, The Truth According to Horses is a communication of their deepest understanding of life. (Both books are filled with stunning photographs and art.
