Bioenergy Balancing - Communicating With Body Consciousness

by Sarah McCroskey
Certified Practitioner of Bioenergy Balancing and Director of the Bioenergy Balancing Center - East Bay, CA

Bioenergy Balancing is a discipline of bodywork based in both the Western medical principles of anatomy, physiology and biochemistry as well as Eastern traditions of chi (body energy) and the meridian/chakra system through which body energy travels.

Bioenergy Balancing provides a means for communicating with the body consciousness - the "silent partner" who orchestrates every physiological process in your body with exquisite timing and precision. It also retains timeless recollection of every experience you have had. Through the use of muscle testing methods, developed in Applied Kinesiology, your bio-energy is given a "voice," allowing you to access the insight, intelligence and wisdom of your body consciousness.

With few exceptions, we, as human beings, are born with our physical, mental, spiritual and emotional bodies interlacing energetically to form a perfect template. This template functions to harmoniously energize and nourish the tissues of the body, creating physical health and well being.

But as human beings we are also forced to grapple with adversities. Coping mechanisms are developed to contend with the stresses that arise. In an attempt to free the conscious mind from trauma, the body will harbor traumatic incidents energetically, driving the perfect template from the body's energy circuitry causing irregular energy flow to the body's tissues and organs.

As years pass, these compromises can coalesce into physical and emotional symptoms, behavior patterns, phobias, allergies and biochemical errors. Bioenergy Balancing provides a means of identifying and releasing these incidents.

By directing specific yes/no questions to the body consciousness, Bioenergy Balancing allows you to communicate with your "silent partner" to discover the basis for physical symptoms, recurrent emotional patterns, past traumas, allergies, decisions and outdated beliefs. Through gentle questioning, specific timing and events are identified. Then, with the body's permission, these energy patterns are released allowing the energy to return to its natural state, bringing healthy energy, oxygen, blood and nutrients to the body tissues once again.

As a client you will lie comfortably on a massage table, face-up, and fully clothed (except for shoes). The Practitioner will ask questions of the body consciousness regarding the physical or emotional concerns which you wish to address. Through muscle testing, the body makes its yes/no answers known, since biofield fluctuations change actual muscle strength. To avoid tiring out the client's arm, muscle testing during a session is done indirectly, either through a Co-practitioner or with a pendulum.

Once the underpinnings of a symptom are identified, further questioning reveals how the event is being held in the body. By distinguishing which meridians are holding an incident, the charge is released through a gentle tracing of the meridian. This is generally experienced as a subtle sensation of release by the client.

Sarah McCroskey is a certified Practitioner of Bioenergy Balancing and runs the Bioenergy Balancing Center - East Bay, located in the Richmond/El Cerrito hills area of California. Sarah received certification as a Practitioner from the founder and creator of Bioenergy Balancing, Priscilla Kapel after a two year course in study and hours of apprenticeship with Priscilla in her clinical practice in Palo Alto. Her background is in the health sciences, counseling and nutrition.

Sarah works in conjunction with a select group of Co-Practitioners who have backgrounds in a variety of healing disciplines. Since Bioenergy Balancing relies on muscle testing as a means of communicating with the body, the role of the Co-Practioner is to act as a conduit for the client's energy, which prevents tiring out the client arm during a session. All of Sarah's Co-Practioners have undergone training with the founder of Bioenergy Balancing and Director of the Balancing Center in Palo Alto, Priscilla Kapel.
