Our Health Retreat Center welcomes groups and individual guests from all over the world. Our 12,600 square foot facility is wonderfully spacious, yet provides the intimacy of only 15 guest rooms, making it ideal for groups and guests interested in the most exclusive and private retreat experiences. The Center for Massage & Natural Health is a multi-dimensional organization. It started as a very small Massage Therapy Center in downtown Asheville, North Carolina, and continues to evolve into a world-class Residential Retreat and Training Center for the healing arts and sciences. Specializing in health education, the Center offers full certification courses in massage and bodywork therapy, with or without student housing, an extensive continuing education department, a residential retreat department that specializes in natural health resort vacation packages and themed retreats, a conference center for outside groups and a renowned therapy center in downtown Asheville. In the Hollow (a village of quaint antique buildings), you will find ¡°The Parlor,¡± our picturesque, vintage-style massage therapy studio, the blacksmith shop, the molasses press and much more.

600-Hour Massage Therapy Certification ProgramsThe Center for Massage & Natural Health's 6-month, 600-hour Massage & Bodywork Therapy Certification Program is renowned for having the most progressive curriculum, most talented instructors and taught in the most beautiful setting in the country, and perhaps the world. Our staff is dedicated to providing excellence in education while providing an experience that is life changing, both professionally and personally.Our program begins with a solid foundation in Swedish Massage and in the Sciences, including Human Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Pathology. Once we have established this foundation, we take our students on a journey into other exciting bodywork modalities, including Sports Massage, Neuro-muscular Therapy, Energy Studies, Shiatsu (traditional Eastern bodywork) and Reflexology, to name a few. We also provide education in Somatic Psychology, where we explore the mind/body connection and other fun courses, such as Aromatherapy & Spa Treatments, Herbology and Diet & Nutrition. We finish our Program with courses that are as important as learning bodywork techniques: Business & Marketing. We prepare our students for entering the world of the Healing Arts & Sciences with a solid education in business practices, legal issues and the licensing process.We welcome you to take your time exploring our program. Welcome to our Natural Health Retreat Center! Our wonderful continuing education workshops are now being offered as an all-inclusive retreat vacation. We invite you to relax in the luxury of our beautiful Retreat Center while earning your State Board and other educational requirements. Our courses are designed to provide the highest quality continuing education in a private retreat setting that caters to your every need. You may choose either private or semi-private retreat accommodations, and, while you are studying a fun and exciting bodywork modality in the comfort and convenience of our Education Center, we will be preparing delicious and nutritious vegetarian meals for you to enjoy in our Natural Health Café, located in our Retreat Center.Enjoy the privacy of your own beautiful guest room, or you may wish to bring a fellow therapist to take advantage of the Semi-Private accommodations savings. If you'd like, we will be happy to match you with someone. Our accommodations include guest rooms, each with 2 queen beds, private bath with separate vanity area, private balcony with stunning mountain or lake views and in-room Essential Oil hospitality products. In the evenings, feel free to socialize with other guests in our Great Room, study in our Resource Library, or simply relax on our expansive deck overlooking the lake. Our beautiful lake is surrounded by a paved, softly lit walkway, and is perfect for an evening stroll. Whether you attend for your licensing requirements, or simply to broaden your natural healing horizons, our all-inclusive packages will leave you with a feeling of having had the most splendid vacation.
