She's personally practiced & studied Yoga for almost 4 decades and has taught continuously since her certification in 1979. Susan, a formally trained Naturopathic Physisian(ND), received her Doctorate in Naturopathic medicine at the University Of Bridgeport(UBCNM), this education included classes & a research thesis with Yale University. Susan is a Certified Yoga Therapist and IAYT member, Ordained Minister & Nationally Certified Massage therapist. She presently offers corporate, private & group yoga classes, workshops & retreats as well as offers private Sprirtual & Energywork sessions on Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Florida. She is a 15yr member of the AOBTA and a 15yr NCTMB member.

Within our body flows the support of life. A formless tapestry of energy that beckons growth & expansion. Healing & creative energy of which we know little about---ie. the true power & magnificence of all that is. It is our spiritual connection to Universe, the Cosmic support of ALL life.

TUESDAY=EXPERIENCED LEVEL-10-11:15am-A fun yet challanging class exploring finer details of asanas & pranayama exercises. This class is geared for the seasoned yogi/yogini. Revisit classic poses while adding more challenging variations, learn to feel comfortable with customizing the poses specifically for your needs & goals in present time. Break out from the 'simon sez' routines & GROW YOUR PRACTICE. This yoga class combines vinyasa flow and longer holds and it is recommended that you know the 'basics'

THURSDAY=ALL LEVEL-10-11:15AM-Learn or review the 'basics.' A detailed exploration w/the focus on "How to" safely & correctly construct commonly performed yoga asanas(poses). This includes specific instructions for the individual within the group setting--breathing(pranayama) techniques plus deep relaxation. Great refresher for experienced students too!

Each & every yoga class offers something completely different. Hands-on adjustments for all as well as appropriate alternative variations for those with physical issues. A limited number of blocks, blankets, straps & mats are available for use(free) during class.

MONDAY 10-11 All-Level Yoga-This beginner friendly class includes basic breathing techniques and alignment cues for easy, safe construction of poses. Experienced yogis love this class as a review to hone their practice. Modifications for problems areas given along with intensifications for those who wish to go deeper.

TUESDAY 1-2pm CHI Yoga(see description under Saturday.)

WEDNESDAY 5:30-6:30pm- SUN FLOW- An instructional yoga class includes sequencing , asana building, breathing(pranayama) techniques & breath synchronization, detailed cues for ea asana ending with deep relaxation. This is the primer for the Saturday Power Vinyasa class.



SATURDAY 9-10 am

CHI YOGA-"Thrive, don't just survive"-Build strength & stamina from the inside out. Invoke vital energy(chi) to heal, reduce pain and irrigate dry & tightly bound areas (our trouble spots). Improve breathing patterns & posture. Infuse current ailments with healing energy. Re-vitalize. Strengthen. Ease. This gentle energy-based approach introduces the magnificent and swift healing ability of chi(prana, life force energy), which exists in all living things. Turn typical floor stretches and basic yoga postures (asanas) into powerful healing movements. All levels & conditions Welcome.

SATURDAY 10:15-11:15 am

POWER VINYASA - Extrememly fun yet challenging yoga class threading mind and body w/ the breath in continuous movements, building body heat and life-force energy. Burn calories, sweat and De-tox. You will fold, arch, twist, bend, invert & leap as your rhythmic breathing sets the speed at which you move from pose to pose. All whgile groovn' to cool music. Knowledge of Asana alignments, Ujjayi breathing, & Bandhas recommended. Not an instructional class.
