Profile and Credentials        

Coordinator Jo Ann Meeks has worked with the Spirituality Network, an ecumenical group sponsored by the Council of Churches. We did retreats, days of prayer, Wellstreem Spiritual Direction Training, spiritual direction, aids retreats and

Dr.R. Scott Peck's Community Building program.



She has also assisted hosting corporate retreats with a corporate team builder;

worked with several women's groups, providing leadership and support to help low income women become self sustaining and empowered by their relationship with their God.. She has also worked in homeless shelters and drug and alcohol treatment program.

Jo Ann studied Lakota Spirituality at Pine Ridge Summer Program and is a Certified Youth Ministry Coordinator. She has worked to help empower young adults and develop a deeper relationship with God.

Ann is a Board Certified Hypnotherapist and Hypnotic Anaesthesiologist. She is interested in the power of the mind and prayer to heal and has studied hands on healing from various traditions. She also work 21 years as office manager in the family insurance agency.

Most important to her is her relationship of 40+ years with her very supportive husband, Frank, and their 5 adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren.

Director Frank Meeks has been CEO for 31 years of his own insurance agency. and has received numerous awards and trips. He is Co-founder and leader of the High School Church Youth Ministry Program. He has also worked with inmates as a volunteer in the County Jail System, and helped sponsor Asian refugee family in establishing residence and employment.

Frank attended Pine Ridge Summer Program on Lakota Spirituality and shared leadership with 3 other men in their Men's Group. He has worked with Bread for the World and is a member of several organizations.

Philosophy and Comments        

The Center was created to provide a place away from the pressures and stress of our everyday world, that promotes natural ways of healing the mind, body, and spirit in a respite setting.

It is our vision that the Center be a bridge between various traditions, encouraging self-empowerment and personal growth, welcoming people of all traditions.

Work Hours and Fee Schedule        

The Center at Rose Creek is a unique retreat center where you can come for a day, a week, a month or stay for the season. The former Musicians Club of America Center, it is situated approximately 8 miles from the city of Franklin, in Macon County, North Carolina.

This quiet corner of Southwestern North Carolina is set within the heart of the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, and raises to peaks of 5000 feet. The Asheville Airport is only an hour away. The airports of Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Knoxville are approximately 2 hours away. Close by are the Pisgah and Nantahala National Forests, Cullasaja Gorge and several mountain resorts.



Follow the signs north on Highway 28 from Franklin, left on Bennett Road and short distance to a right turn on Rose Creek Road. Turn right on Blue Ridge Drive Just before the Rose Creek Church.
