At Herbs of the World, we make every effort to provide formulas which give the broadest spectrum of plants and minerals that the grazing animal finds naturally. However, as in the case of seaweed or yucca, even though horses in coastal areas will pick at seaweed washed up on the beach, the horse is less likely to be found grazing on them. However, they are valuable as sources of trace elements and are compatible with the equine diet, therefore, we often use them in our formulas to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Loryhl has been a practicing herbalist for 24 years and formulates for her company, Herbs of the World. She lectures for numerous trade shows and organizations across North America, as well as writing educational articles on the use of herbs in Natural Horse, Horse's Hoof, Goodpony Journal, Mid America Harness News and other publications. She has advanced training in herbalism from Dominion Herbal College, extensive courses in experiential training, healing the inner child, EST, and Lifespring. She also has training in Reiki, numerous courses in herbalism, kinesiology, reflexology, and a 2-year intensive apprenticeship in human herbalism with herbalist Doris Joiner in Canada. Loryhl incorporates herbal traditions from many parts of the world into her formulation in a synergistic balance using only quality herbs. Herbs of the World has been actively engaged in the adoption of PMU foals, Thoroughbreds taken from slaughter sales and now used for riding and breeding in the sport horse industry, and many animal rescues over the years. Herb 5 children, horses, herbs, spiritual growth, travel, healthy adventure, knowledge and alternative therapies are her passions in life.
