There are many reasons why we seek individual psychotherapy. Understanding ourselves better seems to be reason enough. But for some this decision comes when we are at a particularly difficult moment in life--a death, divorce, loss of a relationship, sadness, depression, loss of passion for life, retirement, sexual concerns and any situation which may constellate strong feelings. If we are to live into our potential and experience lives that are meaningful to us, we must gain insight into where we feel blocked and what needs to happen to move us closer to our authetic self. A psychotherapist can often help you on this journey towards wholeness.
My doctorate is in clinical psychology with an emphasis in Jungian depth psychology. I am licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and have practiced as a psychotherpist for over 22 years. Presently, I am in private practice and in the past was the director of the Center for Counseling and Health Services. I also conduct group and individual supervision as a Certified LPC supervisor. In addition to working with individuals and couples, I conduct group therapy and psycho-educational groups. My educational pursuits have taken me to study in Egypt, Italy, Russia, Greece, and the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland and Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara California, where I received my Ph.D.
Every individual is unique in what they need, therefore my approach to psychotherapy is multidimensional. The following are some of the different services I provide:
I work by appointment only. Clients pay at the end of each session. Personal checks and cash are accepted.
