Sal Amadeo is a nationally certified Massage Therapist, Acupuncturist and Hypnotherapist who has been practicing in New Haven since 1989.

Mr. Amadeo has lectured at Yale-New Haven and Griffin Hospitals on the benefits of holistic therapies for cardiac patients. He has also been a guest speaker at Yale University, Quinnipiac College and SCSU, as well as on radio and television. Mr. Amadeo gives workshops on his techniques to colleagues and medical personnel and his articles have been published in several new age publications.

Mr. Amadeo is a Master Body Worker who has developed a very specialized multidisciplinary approach to wellness combining Eastern with Western philosophies. He has studied and is certified in the Eastern traditions of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as well as the modern Western techniques of Myofacial Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Visceral Massage, and Structural Balance. In addition, he is well versed in the use of herbal medicines.

This full spectrum of alternatives provides Amadeus Center clients with an exceptional level of holistic care. The center provides information through phone consultation and through our website, as well as services and products to support anyone seeking optimal health of their body, mind and spirit.

While Holistic Healthcare is in most cases not a reimbursed or covered expense, most of our clients recognize that quality of life and health is well worth the "out of pocket" expense. We believe that one day soon the practice of alternative medicine will be acknowledged by insurance companies and M.D.'s, but until that day we can only encourage you to put your own health and well-being at the top of your priority list. Massage Therapy Appointments on Sunday are subject to an additional fee of $10 per hour. Emergency health appointments with Sal Amadeo, L.Ac., L.M.T., C.O.M.D. will not be charged an additional fee.

Acupuncture is a complete system of medicine that can stand alone as a treatment for a variety of ills and ailments. It is also compatible with other systems of natural medicine including herbal regimins, massage therapy, moxibustion therapy, cupping and energy medicine. This type of healthcare treats patterns in the human body that are based on a different type of diagnosis than the kind formed by western or alopathic medicine.
