Description

I have been in full-time private practice in Lake Oswego and Portland, OR since 1991, specializing in sex therapy, addictions and eating disorders recovery, healing from childhood and adult trauma, family of origin work, and grief resolution. My training in Imago Relationships therapy complements my experience assisting couples to enhance intimacy and communication skills. I utilize emotional intelligence in couples therapy, a research-based approach to successful relationships. My therapy dog Strider is a quiet, gentle presence through the therapy process. I assist clients with dream work, and have facilitated creative archetypal dream work groups since 1989, when I completed my studies with master dream worker Jeremy Taylor. I bring the perspective of ecopsychology to therapy, that a holistic connection with the natural world is integral to health and healing.

Philosophy and Comments

It is a privilege to assist those who wish to move through and beyond the woundings and limitations of past experience to heal and live a full, authentic, passionate life. I offer therapy that empowers women and men to be fully present in their bodies, intimate relationships, friendships, careers, recreation and communities. Whether healing from childhood abuse, trauma, addictions, depression, grief, illness or the myriad challenges that erode self-esteem and personal effectiveness, it is in healing ourselves that we begin to transform our world.
