Eric Jacobson Ph.D.
Description
I have been practicing Rolfing, craniosacral therapy and psychotherapy in the Boston area for the past 28 years. Rolfing is a method of changing the posture and movement pattern of the human body by restoring elasticity to connective tissue that has become rigid due to injury or chronic strain. Craniosacral therapy is a method of restoring circulation and mobility to the bones of the head, spine and pelvis through gentle manipulation. It is effective in relieving migraine, TMJ pain and other cranial problem. Also many neck problems are helped by cranial work. I also practice psychotherapy and teach simple meditation methods to those who are interested.

I was trained as a Rolfer by Ida Rolf PhD in 1972 and have been in practice continuously since then. I was trained in craniosacral therapy by John Unledger, DO and others. My training in Gestalt Therapy was with Irving and Miriam Polster, PhDs of the Gestalt Training Center - San Diego, and with Isadore Fromm of the New York Gestalt Institute.
