Philosophy and Comments

At Five Elements Healing Center we believe that every individual deserves to be healthy, have the energy to do what they love and find pleasure in their life. We believe we are always transitioning whether we do it with intention or just let it happen. We incorporate the suggestion of "salkapa" so we can hear that small voice inside. This emanates the deliberate version of creating the kind of life that brings us the most pleasure without creating pain or suffering toward ourselves or others.

We use food, pranayama(breathing techniques and yoga postures to assist the body as it moves into wellness. We use herbal remedies and meditation techniques to deal with long term stress, insomnia, anxiety disorders, digestive disorders and chronic pain. We address chronic health issues with a holistic approach. We believe it is in our nature to heal.Practicing Ayurveda can bring peace and wellness.

Ayurveda Consultations

A 5,000 year-old form of holistic medicine. Ayurveda gives you the means to obtaining your optimal health. Ayurveda treats all parts of the person from the body's cellular level, including the physical, mental and spiritual part of ones life. Our treatment begins with an in-depth evaluation. We honor and respect the individuality or constitution each one of us is born with, which we call Prakriti. The goal of Ayurveda is to assist you with living within the balance that you were born with. We use the five elements: earth, water, fire, air and either as they relate to your body. Air is our mind, or manas, which can often become quite anxious and therefore create displeasure and anxiety. The element Earth when out of balance can create heavyness, lethargy and inertia, which can cause oversleeping, attachements and feelings of being depressed. The Fire element assists us in processing information and is used for vision. When out of balance the fire can turn to anger, forcing change and irritability.

We specialize in healing beyond trauma, painful experiences and suffering. We specialize in assisting change within the physical effects of addiction. Learn to bring your body back into wholeness. We offer a simple plan that allows you to begin the process of healing.

Yoga and Meditation Classes

Yoga: Our yoga classes offer a gentle approach to movement. We use the breath to establish an inner calm. Students leave class feeling relaxed and revitalized. Classes are suitable for all fitness levels.

Ayurvedic Meditation: Learn to follow and join the breath. Empty Bowl Meditation technique, we hold and release the breath to facilitate this powerful work. This practice is based on the teachings of Ayurvedic physician, Dr. Vasant Lad.
