I believe in Integrative Health Care that coordinates holistic and alternative healing with the best of conventional medicine. I am committed to the integration of body, mind, and spirit, and to teaching self-help skills and preventative medicine. When offering advice about wellness management, I search a number of credible medical and alternative internet sites to explore what has most recently been learned from research and experience. I believe wellness is influenced by one's spiritual practice, nature, diet, exercise, and social network, and that successful healing requires taking charge of ones own health.
Holistic Nursing Services (HNS)is available April through December; the days and hours are flexible. Sirius Wellness Retreats (SWR) are available April through November.
Sirius offers many nature sites and activities, indoor sanctuary spaces, group meditations, opportunities for creative pursuits, and a library of healing information. You may choose from among many activities and health care professionals and therapists to assist you during your individually designed Retreat of any length April through November.
I offer one or a series of colonic irrigation experiences, and coordinate them with optional detoxifying saunas. I will teach you to give yourself effective enemas, and how to coordinate them with colonics for optimum health maintenance. We are all particularly in need of colon cleansing when we have not had regular or thorough elimination, when we have eaten unhealthy food or suffered from addictions, when we are in the process of losing weight, when we have not had consistent exercise, and when we have infections or chronic or degenerative diseases. To get the most out of a colonic, eat a diet of produce only for a few days beforehand, supplement your diet with fiber, and give yourself an enema a couple of days before and after your colonic.
This type of sauna is more healing than saunas that heat the air, which irritates the eyes, brain, and lungs. It warms the body more deeply, induces more perspiration, and diverts blood flow to the surface of the body which improves cardiovascular functioning. Perspiring cleanses the body of toxins, strengthens the immune system, and increases resistance to systemic infection. Sauna heat brings healing to damaged muscles and skin, causes sinuses to drain, improves respiratory problems, and relieves the pain from rheumatoid arthritis. It assists healing following the initial recovery from surgery, provides some of the benefits of aerobic exercise, lowers high blood pressure, and eases recovery from addictive substances. Many frequent and appropriately long saunas will detoxify heavy metals and reduce tumors, including some cancers.
