Through SHARANYA, a 501(c)(3) Devi Mandir (Goddess temple), I offer counseling services for individuals and couples centered in their spiritual beingness. Utilizing traditional and alternative methodologies, including energy work, divination, guided meditation, deep listening, intuitive reflection and other spiritual techniques, I bring an east-west approach to the healing, transformational, and growth journey. Ritual practice and methods for continuing unfoldment may also be pursued as appropriate to the process.

Areas of Specialization: eating disorders, tantrick practice for spiritual development, couples therapy, spiritual counseling for all life-affirming paths, goddess-centered explorations and practices.

Bringing together academia and embodied spiritual technologies, my credentials are both as a doctorate holder and a lineage tradition carrier within Shakta Tantra.

Ph.D. in Philosophy & Religion from the California Institute of Integral Studies; D.Min. (Doctor of Ministry) from the University of Creation Spirituality; M.B.A. in sustainable management from Presidio School of Management; A.B. from Columbia College, Columbia University. I hold Adjunct Faculty positions at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology and Wisdom University.

As Rashani (clergy) and the founder of SHARANYA: The Maa Batakali Cultural Mission, Inc., I bring unique awareness of the spiritual process and journty to my work. SHARANYA is an organization that bridges east and west to help individuals realize the gifts of the Dark Goddess.

My spiritual initiation came first through my grandmother; I later received diksha (initiation) in India in both dualistic and non-dualistic forms of Tantra. These initiations inform my practice and counseling techniques.

My practice is holistic and integral with deep concern for widening and spiraling connections on spiritual, emotional, rational, intuitive and physical levels. I bring many tools, along with dialogue and listening, to the process work and consider my own spiritual practice and passage through anorexia nervosa to be instrumental in shaping my ability to facilitate others' transformation and ultimate healing.
