I am a Labor Doula, Private Childbirth Educator, and Labor Doula Trainer serving the Austin area. I offer Prenatal Consultation, Continuous Labor and Delivery Support, and a Postpartum Follow-Up. I also do Pregnancy Belly-Casting and Private Childbirth Education classes.

Certified Labor Doula and Childbirth Educator through the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association(CAPPA). I have served on the CAPPA Board of Directors since July 2001 as the Texas State Representative and an approved Labor Doula Trainer.

It is my philosophy that every woman has a right to birth her baby in a setting that is comfortable for her, whether that be home, birth center, or hospital. Each woman is different in what she wants out of her birth experience and I am there to help you achieve that experience. My job is to offer emotional and physical comfort measures to make you as comfortable as possible during the birth of your baby. I will support you in each of your choices and give you any information on choices and rights that you are not aware of. I am there to facilitate good communication between you, your partner, and your care providers. It is my goal to provide the best care and attention that I can offer to you.

I take a maximum of 3 clients per month for doula work. I offer a free initial interview so that you can decide if you would like for me to be your doula. My services include: 3 prenatal appointments, doula-client confidentiality, advice per telephone during office hours (For emergency purposes or labor I am available 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week), on-call to you from 38-42 weeks gestation, use of my pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding books, early labor support by phone; I will make suggestions, offer advice, and have frequent contact with you until you are ready for me to join you, continuous labor and delivery support from the time you need me until after your baby is born, help with breastfeeding, a hand-made rice pillow for use before, during, and after labor, and postpartum follow-up. I will attend home, birth center, and hospital births.

My fee for doula work is $750 a birth. Pregnancy belly-casting rates are determined by the type of casting and painting you want. Please call or email for pricing.
