Profile and Credentials
Licenses: Ostensen is a licensed Acupuncturist in New York and National Board Certified by NCCAOM in Acupuncture and Chinese herbology.
History: I was raised in an artistic and athletic environment in Norway. From the suburban childhood in Kolstad, Trondheim, I went to become an performance artist after graduating from Norwegian National College of Dance. After eight years of professional movement studies with emphasis on anatomy, training and nutrition I decided to branch of into my second carrier of Chinese medicine. The way asian medicine and philosophies look at health and well being attracted my attention.
Education: My life journey has taken me through three colleges -- Trondheim College of Engineering, The Norwegian National College of Dance, and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. After graduating from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2003 I started my practice in Greenwich Village (Union Square).
Mission: The main focus in my practice is to use natural alternatives to drugs for various diseases creates a lasting positive impact in patients' lives. As a traditional Chinese medical practitioner, I encourages patients to live in accordance with the natural biomechanics of the body and to pursue a path to peace and happiness.
Philosophy and Comments
As a licensed practitioner of acupuncture in New York State CHRISTIAN OSTENSEN follows the code of ethics as established by NCCAOM.
The aim of this practice is to treat the whole patient and to find a modality which best suits each individual.
Work Hours and Fee Schedule
The SERVICE is open five days per week, for about 50 hours each week.

By Appointment Only
His office is closed on holidays. All the treatments are given by Christian Ostensen. On the occasions that Christian Ostensen is not able to attend, he will provide a referral to a colleague.
