This course will introduce you to the Usui Reiki Ryoho (Healing Art) and will teach you techniques to self healing.

What you will learn:

*In this one day intensive class, you will learn a basic knowledge about Reiki and a basic hands on healing art. You'll be initiated into Reiki by means of "Reiju" or "attunement" that will empower you to be a Reiki channel.

*From this time on, Reiki energy will flow throughout your hands and do a fine job of healing. It means YOU are now a Reiki practitioner (healer) for the rest of your life.

REIKI CHUDEN (Second Degree)

Prerequisite: Reiki Shoden (First Degree)

What you will learn:

*After receiving the Chuden (Second Degree) Reiju, three "shirushi" or symbols will be given to you.

*With the use of the 1st symbol, the energy can be focused and strengthened.

*With the 2nd symbol, a habit (bad or unwanted) can be broken.

With the 3rd symbol, you willbe mpowered to do Reiki healing on a person not physically present. (Distant healing)

REIKI OKUDEN (Third Degree

The doorway to a spiritual path

Inner Teaching (spiritual cultivation and upliftment)

Peace and prosperity

Focus: spiritual practice of Reiki Ryoho, i.e.. one's spiritual cultivation and upliftment

Aim: to live a healthy, peaceful and properous life, i.e., to live a happy life

What you will learn

*Okuden (Inner Teaching) is intended for Reiki practitioners who want to deepen an understanding of Reiki Ryoho and develop the inner growth.

*You will explore the inner teaching of Reiki Ryoho and begin to thread on a spiritual path to "Anshin ritsumei" or "Satori" (enlightenment)

*You will be given the fourth shirushi or symbol after receiving Reiju (initiation/attunement).

* You will learn to use the fourth shirushi (symbol).

A Certified Critical Care RN

I have been a Critical Care RN for more than 20 years working primarily in Coronary Care Unit. I got my certification (CCRN) from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

During the course of my nursing career in New York. I worked in both public and private sector in the different intensive care units- coronary care, medical, surgical and neurosurgical.

I also worked in home care; nursing home; microsurgery; EENT; medical-surgical, psychiatry units: adult and adolescent psychiatry; prison psychiatry, prison ward, etc. as a per diem/agency RN.

There were moments in my life in the past that I thought I will do Travel Nursing in search of my journey to know what I really want.

I received Honors in Academic Excellence and Clinic Awards-Certificate for Outstanding Clinical Performance in Holistic Nursing with Therapeutic Amma Massage at the New York College of Health Professions.

I believe that I�m blessed to have the best of both worlds- being a Critical Care and Holistic Nurse gave me a better understanding and compassion of myself and others.

Holistic nursing focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, risk reduction, symptom relief and self-care.

Holistic nurses integrate complementary/alternative modalities into their nursing practice in meeting people�s physiological, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Reiki Master/ Teacher Training

05/20/2007: I received the necessary attunements and knowledge of Advanced Reiki Training and the Master level of the Usui/ Tibetan system of healing from The International Center for Reiki Training, a program approved by American Holistic Nurses Association.

10/21/2007: successfully completed my training and initiation into Shinpiden Level III Usui Reiki Ryoho with The International House of Reiki.

12/02/2007 : Registered Karuna Reiki® Master with The International Center for Reiki Training. (KR# 84626)

04/27/2008: satisfactorily completed "Komyo Reiki Shinpiden and is accredited as Shihan/Teacher" by Hyakuten Inamoto Sensei.

This gives me a better understanding and perspective of both Western and Traditional Reiki.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese term.

Rei means something mysterious,miraculous, and sacred.

Ki means the atmosphere or something subtle or the energy of the universe.

The Japanese words Reiki can be defined as a miraculous and sacred energy of the universe, which sustains all life (Reiki is the name, used by Usui Sensei, for the universal/cosmic energy).

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that utilizes deep relaxation to calm the mind, reduce stress, relax the body, and ease the spirit. Reiki can be combined with other healing modalities.
