Philosophy and Comments

I believe that our health is the most important thing we have, and that we are all responsible for maintaining our bodies. I am saddened by the number of people I meet on a daily basis who are suffering needlessly, with problems that can be easily and inexpensively treated by the many available holistic and alternative therapies that are available today. I strive to educate people in ways that they can take an active role in their own health and lead happier, balanced, more fulfilling lives in optimal health.

Our stressful modern lives are taking a toll on our bodies and often lead them into patterns of disharmony. These disharmonies can manifest in many ways such as pain, depression, insomnia, infertility, high blood pressure, and many more. Unlike a western medicine approach which looks at health care from a view point of treating and eliminating symptoms, Chinese medicine looks at the body as a whole. When we harmonize the body, not only do symptoms disappear, but you will feel an elevated state of well being, and vitality. When you view the body as an integrated whole with different body systems that naturally balance one another, you can see how when systems become unbalanced symptoms can occur. Most of these disharmonies can be easily corrected with acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine.

We expect a lot from our bodies and if we want them to function at their highest level we must be willing to do a little maintenance on them from time to time. You will be amazed at how good you can feel, and what you can do.

Work Hours and Fee Schedule

Work hours are by appointment only, Monday-Friday from 8am-7pm.

(If you need another time, please call, occasionally exceptions to these hours can be made.)

Acupuncture Treatment:

An initial visit will involve a longer intake and history gathering period and will last around 1 1/2 hours. This session is $100.00. Follow up visits will usually take around 1 hour, and cost $70.00.

Acupuncture treatments can include any of the following modalities if desired and warranted by the condition: moxabustion (burning herbs to warm and strengthen acupoints on the body), Cupping (the use of glass cups and suction to release toxins, tension, and pathogens in the skin and muscles), Electrical stimulation (the use of an acupuncture approved electrical stimulator to pass a mild current through the body to alleviate painful conditions), and Chinese herbal consultation.

Herbal Consultation:

The initial Herbal Consultation fee is usually $60.00, but for now I am waving the initial fee and charging the follow up visit rate of $30.00 for all herbal consolation visits. This charge does not include the cost of the herbs. Remember that results are usually much better when utilizing acupuncture and herbs together, and each acupuncture treatment comes with a free herbal consultation.
