I first became interested in alternative therapies over 2 decades ago. I suffered severe headaches and was on several prescription medications. I eventually phoned my doctor and said I would not take the medications any longer as I knew they were just masking symptoms. I knew there had to be another way.

After several more years I found a healing arts practitioner and then someone who taught me about aromatherapy. I knew I was on to something then!

After two years of study at The Academy For The Healing Arts I received certification as a Healing Arts Practitioner. During that time I received my attunements in Usui Reiki and am a Master. I went on to become a teaching assistant at the Academy for 2 years and was one of just 3 students accepted for a third year, apprenticeship program under founder, Patty Aamodt.

I received my hypnotherapy certification from The Wellness Institute and attended various workshops in New York, Atlanta and Seattle.

I currently hold a Bachelor's Degree in Metaphysical Sciences, have submitted my Master's thesis and plan to begin my Doctoral dissertation in 2011.

My goal is to assist clients in reclaiming the lost art of personal rejuvenation and maintaining a healthy balance in spirit, mind, emotions and body.

In addition to my private practice, I am dedicated to public awareness of the practitioners and services in our area. As such, I founded "Journey To Wholeness", an annual October expo which was held in Yakima for 4 years. I published a directory of Central Washington practtioners and now put out a monthly e-newsletter.

I am also available as a speaker for groups of all sizes. I have been a presenter for the Yakama Nation, Catholic Services, North Star Cancer Lodge, and Unity Spiritual Life Center, as well as various women's groups.

In December of 2008 I founded The Enlightenment Institute in response to many requests for a way to learn about healing techniques & metaphysical subjects in a manner that lays the groundwork for students to discover what modalities appeal to them while transforming their own lives.

All sessions are by appointment only with sessions lasting as Spirit guides. Rates are as follows:

Classes offered through The Enlightenment Institute include Reiki I, II and Master, which are one day classes that include theory and experiential practice in addition to attunements. The fee is $50 per class.

For 2011 I am offering a one hour class at Unity Spiritual Life Center, Yakima, one Monday a month from 5:30 to 6:30 (usually the second Monday, but check the schedule). These classes are on a variety of metaphysical subjects that you may want more information about or have questions about. Very informal with Q & A time. Also new in 2011 is a series of workshops held one Saturday a month in which a large variety of subjects will be covered throughout the year, including everything I teach. These workshops will not only give you the tools for a Healing Arts Practice, but also the tools for empowerment and living a more authentic life. See events for information.
