The Bodden Institute for Yoga and Holistic Studies, is a International Yoga Alliance Registered School located on the Joslyn Center Campus in Palm Desert and in the Morongo Basin Senior Support Center Campus in Yucca Valley.

Here the student will have the opportunity of being exposed to not only Yoga Asanas but also a diverse curriculum, which includes, Yoga history, the teachings of ancient Yoga Masters, Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Spirituality, Relaxation Techniques, Meditation, Yoga posture modifications for different health conditions e.g. using a chair (Chair Yoga) as well as other Holistic Modalities necessary to give the Yoga Instructor a well rounded education. The main focus is on Hatha Yoga.

Bodden Institute for Yoga and Holistic Studies, is a International Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Training School offering a 200 hour program.

Renate Bodden, owner of the Bodden Institute, is a Naturopath, with a Doctorate Degree in Naturopathy from Trinity College of Natural Health.

Renate is also a registered Yoga Teacher ( E-RYT) as well as certifed in Tai Chi and Arthritis Foundation programs.

Renate Bodden, is on the Board of the Arthritis Foundation and also a member of the Yoga Alliance Ca. House of Delegates.

Yoga Teacher Training from the Bodden Institute is a 200 hour program spread over a minimum of 6 month i.e. 2 weekends a month for a total of 30 hours per month.( see note about Flex-Enroll)

Required are 175 contact hours ( with primary teacher)

15 Non contact hours ( documented)

10 hours of Practicum under supervision of primary teacher.

Classes are strictly on weekends at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert, Friday and Saturday at the Morongo Basin, in Yucca Valley.

Upon meeting all of the above requirements (passing the exam and completing the practicum) the student will be given a Certificate to submit to the International Yoga Alliance to be considered for Registration with them.

It is the Students responsibility to submit the Certificate and required fees for the RYT Registration, to the International Yoga Alliance.

The Bodden Institute will provide approved yoga training classes for yoga instructors to meet the growing need for credentialed yoga instructors to lead the yoga classes that Coachella Valley residents enjoy.

Yoga study and practice is fast gaining medical approval and support as a means of providing healthier living, but there is a shortage of instructors with the proper credentials. The Bodden Institute offers the training and certification of yoga teachers to provide these classes.
