I am a Naturopathic Family Physician as well as a midwife which means I can maintain my connection to the family and they have continuity in their care. In my experience I have watched many families grow even delivering a mother and her mother in the same year! Because of my naturopathic background I can use herbal medicine, homeopathy, and nutrition to treat most ailments in pregnancy, birth, and family health. Because I am also a physician, I can prescribe pharmaceutical medicines when needed without referring my clients to another practitioner. I look forward to serving the families in Gresham and the surrounding areas, as well as attending births east down the gorge, south and east into Clackamas county, north into Washington, and west to the Portland area.

I have been in private practice for 13 years, attending births for 15 years, and have been a faculty member of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine since 1994. I have been a consultant for many national and international publications relating to childbirth, pediatrics, and women's health. In 2002 I was a consulting author on a book on natural methods for fertility.

I attended New York Chiropractic College 1989-1991 until I transferred to National College of Naturopathic Medicine so I could become a family doctor as well as a midwife. I graduated in 1993 as a Naturopathic physician with a specialties in midwifery,homeopathy, botanical medicine and manipulation.

My philosophy is simple. Everyone should live up to their full potential. I find that one cannot do this if they are ill. Preventative care is best, but many do not seek me out until they are ailing. I do not believe in treating the symptoms of a condition but in addressing the cause which will bring about a deeper cure. In childbirth it is the same. If their is nothing to fix I do not intervene except to preserve the health of the mother and child. I offer comfort and peace in the birthing process. I promise all my mothers they will laugh in labor, as birth should be joyuous and fun.
