An eclectic blend of mindfulness-based, body-centered psychotherapy, meditation and bodywork. Incorporating Buddhist and Yogic psychology with western concepts. The methods above blend into a body-mind approach to counseling that is, of course, tailored to the needs of the client. I welcome both short-term and long-term situations; individuals or couples; and people wanting personal growth, spiritual deepening, relationship help or to change unhealthy patterns.
I have been practicing the healing arts since 1970 as a counselor, massage therapist, yoga instructor and meditation teacher. Over the years, I have received training in Gestalt Therapy, The Hakomi Method, Quantum Psychology, Big Mind Process and Yoga Nidra. In the bodywork area, I have trained in Iyengar Yoga, Feldenkrais, Traeger and Polarity Therapy.
I teach yoga at various locations in Portland and Beaverton. This includes The Yoga Space (theyogaspace.com); Providence Medical Center (providence.org/oregon); The Willamette Athletic Club; and Cedar Hills Recreation Center. I am also available for individual yoga instruction and private yoga workshops for groups.
