Shalandra Abbey has been practicing Reiki since 1989 and teaching Reiki on the Garden Island of Kauai and around the globe since 1991.

Shalandra is also a Minister/Director for the Universal Brotherhood Movement, Inc., a non-profit corporation and interfaith ministry that Rejoices in the Oneness of Life. She considers Reiki Healing her ministry and contribution for a better world. Shalandra comments, "As a minister who honors all religions, plus people who have no traditional religion, it allows me to participate more. It is exciting to co-create blessings and personal vows to perform intimate ceremonies.
