Profile and Credentials

Doug and Walker Silsbee acquired this beautiful farm in 1996. After some soul-searching about how best to steward this special piece of the Earth and how to bring Doug's professional work closer to home, they decided to remodel the old tobacco barn. Bend of Ivy Lodge was born.

Walker is a spiritual explorer with a long-held vision to provide a special environment where people can deepen their spiritual work, experience community and renew their relationship with nature. Her wish is to be surrounded by beauty and to share that beauty with others. Doug is an organizational development consultant and coach with a great love for the outdoors and adventure. He is grateful for the opportunity to bring his work to this inspiring setting and to make the Lodge available to others.

Bend of Ivy Lodge is the manifestation of their dreams to build a balanced and sustainable life doing meaningful work. They hope that you will enjoy visiting and that Bend of Ivy Lodge can provide the perfect setting for your special event.
