Each patient's health condition is unique. Each one holds the keys to his or her own healing. Through sharing your medical history with your medical doctors and with your acupuncturist and being examined, each patient reveals secrets of his or her body's disharmonies. Armed with this information the acupuncturist can work in cooperation with your Western medicine health care team, applying principles of Traditional Chinese medicine to restore balance.

Constitutional Facial Acupuncture (C.F.A.)
Sometimes called and Acupuncture Facelift, Constitutional Facial Acupuncture uses stimulation of acupuncture points and meridians on the face and neck to rejuvenate the health and thereby the appearance of the skin. No needles necessary! This treatment increases blood circulation to the skin and increases muscle tone. It is useful before and after surgical facelifts to get optimal results from those proceedures and to facilitate healing. One treatment can enliven a jet-lagged or fatigued face and a series of treatments can, in my experience with my patients, give a cumulative effect that is positive and noticeable, often elicits compliments. Needles may by used on the face, to address specific problem areas or the facial points may be treated using micro-current, tuning forks, or semi-precious stones. Patients should come to the first appointment prepared to identify what aspects of their faces they are most pleased with and which they think need work. Most often micro-current stimulation of face and neck is alternated with needling in a series of treatments. For consti-tutional balancing, points on the extremities are also needled. Herbal and warm gel facial masks are also employed. These facials are so soothing. Many patients fall asleep on the table, waking refreshed at the end of the treatment.
