Philosophy and Comments

Each patient's health condition is unique. Each one holds the keys to his or her own healing. Through sharing your medical history, talking with me,and being examined, you will naturally reveal secrets of your body's disharmonies. Armed with this information, I use the principles of my discipline to restore balance.

Dermatology

Through Chinese medicine (acupuncture & herbs) we offer treatment for transient, intermittent, and recalcitrant skin conditions including acne, psorasis, and roascea and have found a dual approach, using acupuncture and Chinese herbal treatments together, most effective.

Constitutional Facial Acupuncture (CFA)

Sometimes erroneously called an "acupuncture face lift", Constitutional Facial Acupuncture CANNOT change bone structure, as it is NOT surgery. CFA is a gentler approach than surgery. CFA is preventative and restorative and gives good results against the normal aging process. Constitutional Facial Acupuncture uses stimulation of acupuncture points on the body, face, and neck to rejuvenate health and appearance of the skin. No needles are necessary!(i.e. micro-current or vibrational techniques of stimulating acupoints may be substituted. CFA treatments increase blood circulation to the skin, increase muscle tone, and may promote collagen production. CFA is useful BEFORE surgical face lifts: the better shape you skin is in before the surgery, the more benefit you may be able to get from the operation. CFA AFTER the initial healing from "face lift" surgery can speed the recovery process. One treatment can refresh and tired face. A series of treatments does much more, giving, in my experience, a cumulative effect that improves appearance, boosts confidence, and elicits compliments.
