Vacation rental:
We are located just 30 minutes by black-top road from a good-sized town with all the usual amenities (West Plains). A short drive down a county dirt road into a meadowed valley bottom with woodland and Ozark rocky bluffs on all sides brings you to little Big Spring and our confluence of Creeks. Aquaest Retreat occupies 12.5 acres of varied and secluded land alongside pristine Spring Creek which is more like a river.
Accommodation is in our modern log cabin (Laguna Lodge) set in natural landscaping with easy access to short trails around the property.
A spacious living/dining/kitchen area opens by double french doors onto a large deck overlooking Spring Creek. A masterbedroom with own bath/shower is in the open-plan loft. A second bedroom with sofabed and own shower room is downstairs.
We hope you'll find our style interestingly eclectic and uncluttered. Stained glass in the entry way and throughout fills the space with a wonderful light. Beautiful views of water and woodland from every window.
Conveniences include dishwasher and washer/dryer. A CD/tape/radio player with a selection of music and some good books will be provided (or bring your own choices). There is no TV. Local and emergency calls can be made from the cabin.
For cell-phone reception and long-distance you'll need to drive near to West Plains. Linens and biodegradable (only, please) washing products provided. Food provisions for the week by arrangement.
Adjacent to Laguna Lodge is the special log building that houses our warm pool (10 ft diameter, 4 ft deep) for soaks and floats. Heated by an antique wood stove in winter and cooled by plantation fans in summer, the atmosphere is one of comfort and relaxation.
A shower, massage table, and rest area complete the luxury of your own private Bath House. Natural wood and stained glass enhance the interior. French doors allow you to gaze out to Spring Creek from the pool.
No children or pets. Not handicap accessible. No smoking.
Fly to Springfield-Branson airport, hire a 4-wheel-drive car, and take a scenic 2 1/2 drive to peace and quiet.

Policies
* To hold a reservation we require payment (check or paypal please) of 50% of the full amount; the balance is due 14 days prior to arrival.
* In the event of cancellation made 45 days prior to arrival date, payment will be refunded less 15%.
* For cancellations received less than 45 days prior to arrival date, deposit will be held against a future booking unless dates can be rebooked for another party.
* Security deposit $500.
* Exceptions made at our discretion.
