This is of particular interest around Christmas time, where many people experience considerable emotional tension as well as physical stress. Homeopathy For Children |

Bad parenting and the sensationalism of violence in our society definitely plays a part in behavioral problems, but in homeopathy we look deeper within the individuals to see that we have inherited predispositions to disease. These inherited weaknesses referred to as “miasms” often come from suppressing illnesses, both physical and emotional via medications from generation to generation. It is this underlying inherited weakness that can bring out the violent behavior. If these emotional weaknesses are not dealt with and remain suppressed, they lie dormant and can be passed on to our children. A report of the latest statistics was recently reviewed in the National Center for Homeopathy’s article on behavioral problems in children. The breakdown of the most common childhood mental illnesses was listed as follows: Anxiety Disorder 13%, Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder 10%, Depression 15%, Conduct Disorder 7%. It was mentioned that the number of children taking psychiatric meds was as high as 40% depending on the region. They noted that there are even children as young as one year old taking Ritalin and Prozac. In the short term, these medications may relieve some of the symptoms, but they cannot cure the underlying disease, and may have repercussions. Autism, for example, is difficult to treat with any medication, but we have seen positive changes with homeopathy. Children become less aggressive, need less self-stimulation, are less ritualistic and communication is improved. Sometimes miracles do happen, and a child will return to their homeopath able to express themselves verbally. Homeopathy can fundamentally alter inherited weaknesses and relieve a patient from mental and emotional suppressed disease that can cause behavioral problems and violence.

How many of us have desired something so bad that we eventually received that very thing we were truly wanting? This is an example of a heart wanting something and you took actions toward receiving “it”. Now, there are other times when we want something, kind of desire it, and then think about it for a while because we aren’t sure if we really want it or not. Then we come across something that we should be acting upon, because we desire it, but turn away from it because it scares us to have it. We make excuses for the last point, and funny enough, while the mind says NO, the heart says YES. This running from when we should go to is the problem most of us have in life. What happens next is we ignore or fight off what we know is great for us. Then, we continue our daily existence and begin to regret, or blame someone else, or just feel out of sorts not understanding why. The main cause of this is so simple yet very difficult to over-ride if we don’t know how. When our mind says “fear” and the heart says “safe” we tend to go with our mind chatter because we have been conditioned to do so. Reflect upon every situation up until this point. Now, why worry, feel anxious, or doubt yourself about what will happen tomorrow when today you can act upon with faith knowing all will work out for you at the end?

I don't rely on modern medicine to keep me healthy, but if you usually rely on a flu shot to protect you, you may feel frightened by your inability to get one this year. You may be wondering what you can do instead. Or you may have discovered that flu shots don't give protection from all types of flu, just the ones the makers guess will be active this winter. And you may wonder if there isn't some other way to prevent the flu. Or maybe, like me, you prefer not to use shots or drugs unless absolutely necessary. You may wonder what herbs and remedies are the best to have on hand to help your family deal with the flu. The best way to prevent the flu is to build a powerful immune system. While this can't guarantee that you won't get the flu, neither can the flu shot. One of the best immune-system helpers is garlic. Dr. James Duke says it contains at least 17 different factors that nourish and support powerful immune system functioning. Herbalists in the middle ages relied on it to prevent infection from the plague, so it might keep us safe from the flu. Garlic is anti-bacterial, too. If you don't like fresh raw garlic, powdered garlic is just as good. The dose is 1 or more cloves of raw garlic per day, or up to a teaspoon of garlic powder. Nourishing herbal infusions are the basis of great nourishment for the immune system and the entire body. Reiki is a system of energy healing introduced to the Western world by a Japanese Tendai Buddhist named Mikao Usui in the early 1900s. The US National Institute of Health has recently acknowledged and categorized Reiki as a "Biofield Medicine", although Reiki could be more accurately described as a path to spiritual enlightenment as well as a system of energy field healing. The beneficial effects of Reiki treatments as documented through numerous individual case studies worldwide has created and established a growing demand for Reiki in hospitals, wellness centers, etc., throughout the United States. Reiki demonstrates our ability to channel universal life force energy to all levels of human existence: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. There are three levels or degrees of Reiki training, and the limiting concepts of time and space cease to exist in this system of healing once you acquire the second degree of Reiki instruction and "attunement" (a brief and simple process conducted by a Reiki Master that opens up an individual's energy pathways to accommodate the ability to transfer Reiki to self and others).
