Why Homeopathy Makes Sense and Works |

The word “homeopathy” is derived from two Greek words: homoios which means “similar” and pathos which means “suffering.” Homeopathy’s basic premise is called the “principle of similars,” and it refers to recurrent observation and experience that a medicinal substance will elicit a healing response for the specific syndrome of symptoms (or suffering) that it has been proven to cause when given to a healthy person in overdose. The beauty of the principle of similars is that it not only initiates a healing response, but it encourages a respect for the body's wisdom. Because symptoms represent the best efforts of our body in its defenses against infection or stress, it makes sense to utilize a medicine that helps and mimics this defense rather than that inhibits or suppresses it. The principle of similars may be one of nature's laws that, when used well, can be one of our most sophisticated healing strategies. It is important to note that immunizations and allergy treatments are two of the very few applications in modern medicine today that actually stimulate the body’s own defenses in the prevention or treatment of specific diseases, and it is NOT simply a coincidence that both of these treatments are derived from the homeopathic principle of similars.

You may have heard the saying, "Thoughts are things." Our thoughts, beliefs and feelings are real! They are alive with the spiritual substance that makes up this world. Our thoughts are energized and powerful. Everything we experience in "reality" has its beginnings in the non-physical. Every thought we think is a seed and every time we think the same thought over again, we water that seed. When we think thoughts filled with emotion, we fertilize those thoughts. The more intense our desire, and the degree to which we believe it is possible, the more likely it is to come into our experience and the faster it will manifest. The law of the soil and the law of the mind are the same.
The world is filled with evidence that supports our beliefs. In other words, optimists are confirmed in their optimism, and pessimists are confirmed in their habits of thought also. An optimist expects things to work out somehow, and because they give their attention to what they do want with expectancy, this is what manifests in their experience. The pessimist, on the other hand, generally also creates what they habitually worry about. When pessimists learn how to alter their expectations and beliefs, they too can more deliberately create what they are wanting in life.

The Law of Reciprocity |

The Law of Reciprocity means: to give and take mutually; to return in kind or even in another kind or degree. You may have heard the Law of Reciprocity expressed as: "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine." The law of reciprocity, (which applies in EVERY culture on the face of the earth), simply explains that that when someone gives you something you feel an obligation to give back. Giving and receiving favors is a common exchange and is an implicit assumption in most of our relationships. When someone does something for you, they implicitly expect that when the circumstance is right, you will do something of approximately equal value for them. The expectation may never be discussed openly but nonetheless it exists and affects negotiations and relationships.
All parties must benefit from the relationship and invest in the relationship and acts must be mutually rewarding otherwise it creates an imbalance in reciprocity. When someone is the primary giver, they often expect they will receive in kind from the receiver or eventually from someone else in the world at another time.

his is the first day of the rest of your life. And although this is a cliché, it is true that we don’t have to wait for New Year or a birthday or the last Friday of the month to decide on a new direction for our lives. According to the Buddhists, life means suffering, in the ego mind at least. Until we aspire to become detached from and connected to each other at the same time, we tend to suffer from the illusion of separation and aloneness. Many fears, though they appear as realities, ultimately fade back into the ether. And in the end we realize that it is our minds that are making it all up. Most of it is just an illusion. “When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries of life disappear and life stands explained,” Mark Twain wrote in his Notebook, (1898.)
There is real pain, of course. Those of us who have lost loved ones through death, separation or betrayal would know. Sometimes pain might have taken the form of job loss, diminished health, a changed lifestyle or eroded confidence. For those people without families - and often those with families—anniversaries can be hell. Often memories, happy or tragic, can leave a void in our hearts. Most of us survive these bad times, physically at least. So if we perceive ourselves, or our lives, to be lacking in some regard, how can we rise above that and make our spirits soar?
It could be time for a new beginning. We can choose a happier experience, not just for tomorrow but for every moment of our lives. If we want to change our reality, we have to change our ways of thinking.
