Background: Cindy Lee has been painting professionally since 1993, but her artistic roots extend back into her childhood. She spent countless hours hanging out in the art studio of her nationally acclaimed father, Robert Cassell. The renowned illustrator made a profound impact on his daughter as she observed the skills of fine art and illustration at a very early age. These influences are evident in her portfolio, as you will see a wide variety of subject matters: portraits, landscapes, architectural renderings, still life and floral paintings. Her talent spans many artistic mediums: pastel, oil, watercolor, acrylic and mosaic.
She is an honor graduate of the University of Texas in Austin, and is owner of Cindy Lee Studios. Her artwork hangs in galleries, business offices, educational facilities and private residences throughout the United States. She is a member of the Richardson Civic Art Association and the Pastel Society of the Southwest, among others.
Inspired By:Cindy Lee is inspired by subjects that radiate a unique spiritual energy. Her portraits capture the soul and spirit of the models, not just their physical attributes. Her renderings, landscapes, still life and floral compositions echo themes of the nature’s beauty, light, transformation and abundance. There is no limit to the imagination!Procedure: Cindy Lee prefers to work from her own photographs. This is especially important when doing portrait work, as it gives her the opportunity to start building a relationship with her client. In order to capture the model’s personality and spirit, it is beneficial to do a private photo shoot session (1-2 hours long), preferablly in an outdoor setting. However, the client's photos may also be considered. Although the painting will be completed in the artist’s studio, sketches of the composition will be sent to the client for approval. A viewing of the finished painting is scheduled before it is framed. Framing can be arranged by the client or the artist.
Contact Cindy Lee to discuss the details of your commission. Prices are determined according to difficulty and complexity of subject.
Payment Terms:A deposit of 1/3 of the total price is payable at the time of the photo session, 1/3 after approval of the sketches, with the balance and tax due at completion. Sale is final after the completed painting is accepted by client, and the artwork leaves the studio.
