Kenneth Chow ACA has a very unique practice in more than one way. He integrates a special form of acupuncture, called the Balance Method with Tui-Na Oriental bodywork, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Energy Medicine in his practice.

He sees many patients daily for chronic pains, smoking cessation, weight loss, infertility and other internal medicine issues. The unique style of acupuncture he uses is called Balance Method and it specializes in the use of distal point, or using points away from the area of complaint. For example he finds strategic acupuncture points in the elbow to treat knee pains, or using the ankle to use treat carpal tunnel syndrome. Often the opposite sides would be used. The Balance Method also is very effective in treating digestive, reproductive, respiratory or other internal medicine diseases by utilizing strategies from the I-Ching and using Dr. Tong’s Acupuncture which predates Traditional Chinese Medicine. Often the patients with pain will notice immediate improvements with the insertion of a few needles and will continue to improve after 6-10 treatments depending on the issue at hand. Herbal medicine and bodywork will usually enhance the acupuncture treatments and speed up the patient’s recovery time.

Kenneth Chow uses patent Chinese Medicine instead of raw herbs because it’s easier for the patient to take. Half of his training in acupuncture school was in Chinese Herbal Medicine. He had taken an extra step further with his bodywork training with a Tui-Na Master who is still teaching him over the past few years. Tui-Na is good for relaxing the tendons, muscles, ligaments while easing up energy pathways and improving blood circulation in the body during acupuncture or used alone.

Energy medicine can benefit people who doesn’t have much success with conventional western medicine or even alternative medicine from allergies, chronic pains, arthritis, sports injuries, phobia, stress, infections, chronic fatigue, digestive and endocrine disorders and learning disorders. Many times patients who do not like needles, medicine or herbal supplements will see success in their treatment with the different kinds of energy medicine Kenneth Chow provides. The combination of modalities that he uses integrates the physical, mental, emotional, psychological, psychic, and spiritual levels of the patient hence a more holistic approach in the treatments.

My Story:

I had a dairy allergy, not lactose intollerant, and my eyes would tear, my nose would run and I would get stopped up whenever I drank milk or ate cheese. Kenneth used a gentle tapping technique on my head and back and now I am OK. He said he was retraining my brain to not be allergic, or something like that. Well, IT WORKED. I can drink milk without my eyes tearing or my nose getting stopped up.

Also, I do Yoga and in December I had a "Katrina Virus" in my middle ear. Went to an ENT, got antibiotics that did nothing, and kept being "UNBALANCED". Finally my middle ear unclogged and I could not stand on one foot in yoga. A friend told me that Kenneth had helped her and her balance. Well, I went for my balance problem and again Kenneth went about tapping on me and I can lift one foot off the floor without falling. My balance is getting stronger every day.

Male, patient with history of having airborne allergies, especially sensitive to wood burning during wintertime, and grass and pollen during spring time.
