Since 1975 Clair has practiced various aspects of yoga /meditation. Clair trained extensively with Rama Berch (creator of SVAROOPA® yoga) since 1995 and is part of the Master Yoga Teaching Institute faculty (trains SVAROOPA yoga teachers). A certified SVAROOPA yoga, prenatal yoga, meditation instructor and yoga therapist, Clair has been teaching since 1997 and has had over 1400 contact hours of training. She is registered through Yoga Alliance at the highest level.
Kirtan is a traditional yogic, call and response practice that can draw participants inside to a meditative state. Singing changes the rate of the breath and facilitates greater awareness of the Divine within all things and all beings. If the spirit moves you...singing (whether you think you are good at it or not) is encouraged...and you are also welcomed to just come and listen! Contact us for more info. Whether a full weekend or a 1/2 day, Soul Source Yoga retreats are deeply relaxing and a great way to deepen your practice, and your understanding of what Svaroopa yoga has to offer the practitioner. 1/2 day retreats are usually 2 1/2 - 4 hours and weekend retreats are usually 12 hours of instruction. Both offer participants a chance to slow down, settle in and enjoy the benefits of yoga in a deeper way than a 90 min class can do. Usually the retreat will have a theme and yoga philosophy and other yogic practices will be explored.
