Testimonials from Graduates of ITMB

Testimonials from Graduates of ITMB

Christine Douglas, NCTMB; One thing that many of my clients say to me is how tired they were of cookie cutter massages. Because of the variety of techniques and modalities that I was instructed in and exposed to at ITMB, I feel I am able to give my clients true therapeutic massage and bodywork. Using multiple techniques and modalities in a massage gives me the versatility I need to give my clients a massage that meets their therapeutic needs. I’m grateful for the well rounded education I received at ITMB, and for giving me what I needed to be successful as a therapist.

Matt Benner, CMT; What I've learn is invaluable, both personally and out on the job market. Two weeks before graduation, I started a full-time job that the school helped set me up with, and it was there that I realized just how much I actually knew. Most schools don't provide various methods and modalities, and this school taught with such an open mind that I was well above the curve. Deb and Beth were in close proximity at all times, encouraging questions and providing information. I love them both more than chocolate or the color green and I will miss them.

Mia Celona, CMT; "I love the Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork program b/c it is versatile and gives you many career options upon graduation" -Mia Celona, CMT

Ashley Olin, CMT; It was almost like there was a higher power that helped lead the pathway for me to join & complete my schooling at ITMB. I had been researching different massage schools and once I found the ITMB website I just knew that it was the school I wanted to go to, but I just had to save the money to be able to. About one week later I got a phone call from my dad in Florida saying that he was putting $5000 in a college fund for me! Once I told him what I wanted to do & gave him the name, website, & number of the school he called Debbie, & after talking to her, sent her my tuition check the next day! I was so excited and I couldn't believe it. I started a couple months later, and it was even more then I had hoped. Everyone was so nice, and Debbie & Beth are fantastic teachers. They really care about the students & they have a passion for what they teach, which fuels our passion for it even more. About a month into my hours though, my car broke down, and I wasn't able to go due to that for about a week, when another Miracle happened. A woman that lived 5 minutes from me decided she wanted to continue the rest of her 500hrs (after completing 300hrs at another school) at ITMB the same days & times that I came! It was perfect...We set it up to where I would ride in with her and the problem was solved! I couldn't have been happier with the way everything just miraculously worked out or with the education and friendships I gained while attending ITMB...Its one of the best experiences I have ever had! : )

Quinton Doyle, CMT; I came to ITMB right out of high school, (Interboro High School) and it was a great experience for me. Most all of the training is hands on and you get the attention you need to understand and succeed. Even though it may have seemed hectic with me working and going to school going to ITMB was one of the best things I could have done. If you prefer a smaller class size and a quality education ITMB is for you. The Instructors are great they are experienced, and dedicated. Everyone help each other. Another great aspect is the community service they provide, class trips to schools, hospitals, health fairs and other such events. I would highly recommend ITMB.

Lorraine Riley, CMT; What lead me to ITMB was I wanted to have 500 hours of education so that I could take Nationals and become licensed in Delaware. I needed 300 more hours and no other school would help me. I can say from experience that the Institute for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork is a top notch school. I love it here. We learn so much. The other school it did not leave me in a place where I was ready to enter the work force. Now I feel as I am head and shoulders above the competition. Because we are so well prepared employers call the school on a regular basis. You have plenty of options to be employed before you are graduated too. In fact most of the senior students are. I am so glad I found them. I'm looking forward to taking the Nationals.

Cara Lehmann, CMT; This journey has not only been a financial investment towards my future career, it has been a spiritual investment for my soul as well.

Eileen McCullough CMT; (Ridley High School 2002) Before I came to ITMB I looked at many other schools. I found The Institute for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork was the right choice for me. It is a great school. The class size is limited to only 10 students and this is a better way to learn because there is more one-to-one teaching. The teachers Deborah and Beth are knowledgeable teachers. They each have their own methods of teaching, which is great. The school work is a little hard, but the way they teach makes it a lot easier. What else that really works for me is the flexible hours. I work 40 hours a week and come to school 20 hours a week. ITMB would be a great school to attend if you want to pursue a career in Massage Therapy.
