As a counselor & psychotherapist I integrate a variety of approaches to develop a supportive, plan for each client. I see ages 18-103, men/women, families/couples/marital. I use (EMDR)Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing for trauma therapy, sex abuse recovery and preformance enhancement. Thought Field Therapy(TFT) is a rapid form of self-healing/self stimulated tapping of acupuncture points that effects your energy field while thinking about your distress. It is a form of symptom management. Guided Imagery is a relaxation technique used for stress management and healing. Grief therapy is a supportive approach to guiding someone through bereavement after a loss. Hospice care is a holostic, in-home support system for the dying person and their loved ones. I provide counseling to those experiencing end of life, death and loss issues.

I believe each person has an important story to tell and I am there to listen and learn from them. It is my hope that my training, experience & expertise will be what they need to help them learn, heal and grow. My clients take on the role of being the expert on themselves and it is expected they use their knowledge and life experience to assist in their counseling process. I shy away from diagnosis when at all possible and orient more from a wellness VS sickness model.

I have office hours Monday through Thursday. I am currently accepting new clients. I charge $100.00 for a 55 minute psychotherapy session. The initial intake session and any 90 minute session that is recommended is more. I am on most insurance panels and will be happy to assist you with filing claims and accessing benefit info. I offer a free 15 minute consultation. Those are often scheduled on Fridays or if there is an opening sooner.

I work with a number of area psychiatrists and will be glad to asist you with a referral if you need that. I currently have a psychiatrist who practices in this office. He treats ages 19 and older and has been in practice over 30 years.
