Artistic Director of the Egyptian Moon Dance Company, Shelby Pizzarro has facilitated workshops and classes in the United States and Europe.

Shelby's dance training includes tuition at the June Taylor School of Dance, New York and the Josephine Wise Academy of Arabic Dance, London, England. Additionally Shelby has also trained with numerous international instructors.

Her work is featured in print media and on television in the United Kingdom and the United States. She has also performed as principal dancer at a private Hafla (party) in Cairo, Egypt.

The Company's Troupe Raqesi al-Qamar al-Masrion's repertoire is deeply embedded in authentic Egyptian Raqs Sharqi technique. Their programme is a blend of traditional and comtemporary musical styles, exploring a deep appreciation of Egyptian culture intertwined with dance.

The Egyptian Moon Dance Company conducts a lecture and demonstration series suitable for public and private organizations, as well as schools.
