Philosophy and Comments

Singing is the language of the heart. Over 26 years of singing and 21 years of teaching voice in four states has taught Isa the importance of the human voice. She has discovered one way to open the divine potential and connection that is within each of us - the voice. Each day brings new knowledge and new possiblities to learn. When we sing, we can't hold anger or animosity. We become clear channels for divine loving energy.

Who knows what might be possible if we all discover what our singing voices have to tell? Isa combines voice with other Sound Therapy tools and Polarity Therapy touch to create a unique holistic session that resets the nervous system. She offers Therapeutic Massage with Swedish Relaxation Techniques and ADD ONS in Sound Therapy. She also teaches classes in these therapies and Sound Playshops to learn how to use the tools.

Isa also conducts a church choir of 30 members at Congregational United Church of Christ in Greensboro, NC . This choir sings beautiful music each Sunday at 11 am, and will be presenting the John Rutter "Gloria" on Sunday, December 16th with a 10 piece Brass, Percussion and Organ instrumental ensemble.

Isa offers a unique Certification Series in Sound Healing. If you would like to EASE INTO using Sound, try the SOUND PLAYSHOP SERIES.

VOICE PLAYSHOP (3 hrs): Learn how to make natural sounds and tones with the voice- an instrument everyone has inside them (you don’t have to be an Opera Singer!). Use specific exercises with the voice to focus intention on areas of pain or parts of the body. Learn specific tones used for the organs and chakras and how to use the voice to activate and clear those areas. Learn the foundation of proper breathing (from an Opera Singer for 26 years) for producing supported sounds and tones. Release your blocks to making sounds and learn to use your voice for fun and health.

TUNE UP PLAYSHOP (2 hrs): Learn about the use of BioSonic™ Tuning Forks, specialized Tuning forks used to help reset the Nervous System. Isa's teacher in NYC, Dr. John Beaulieu, developed the BioSonic™ Tuning Forks and did a great deal of work with frequency and vibration (he is the author of Music and Sound in the Healing Arts.). Polarity Therapy Training - 160 hour APP Program

We are excited to be able to offer the original Polarity Therapy curriculum of John Beaulieu, ND, PhD, for the first time in North Carolina. John is the author of The Polarity Therapy Workbook and Isa's teacher in New York. This training program is a member of the International Polarity Wellness Network, and approved and registered by the American Polarity Therapy Association. The APP Program will be more than class hours toward certification; it will be a journey of self discovery that all the students share. Classes will be small for individualized attention, and they are done in a weekend format with some Tuesday evenings. Call or email for a registration packet including school catalog. Isa uses Polarity Therapy as the basis for her therapeutic hands-on work.

Three types of touch make up the practice of Polarity Therapy:
Satvic (soft, light) Touch,
Rajasic (rocking) Touch, and
Tamasic (deep point specific) Touch.
These three types of touch work in conjunction with the client's energy to help support ease and flow.

The presence of the elements of Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth can also offer protocols to tailor a session specifically to the client's needs at that moment.

A client may experience a range of feelings such as warmth, tingling, or a sensation of movement, and in a some instances, relief from physical pain or emotional trauma. Each session varies according to the needs of the client.

Massage Therapy, Polarity Therapy & Cranial Balancing Sessions

Isa offers Swedish Massage Therapy with optional VOCAL HEALING MUSIC and optional ADD ONS in Sound Therapy, Polarity Therapy, and Craniosacral Therapy. By adding the dimension created by Sound and Energy therapies to Therapeutic Massage, Isa brings forth a unique experiential session that allows muscles to melt and release tension. Her voice focused into tense muscles and the sound of the crystal bowls can help deepen relaxation, and reset the nervous system. Try a new way of receiving massage and get a tune up at the same time!

Massage Therapy is a type of bodywork that brings many benefits for the client. Clinical Studies have proven that Massage is helpful for anxiety, pain, muscle soreness, boosting immunity, and self esteem. It can relax, soothe the nervous system, ease stiffness and tension, improve circulation, increase a sense of well being, and help deepen breathing allowing more oxygen for the body system. Today, with hectic schedules and work, so much time is spent in the sympathetic "fight or flight" part of the nervous system. This frenetic lifestyle can leave the shoulders tight, the body amoured, and the back aching. Massage can put the client into the parasympathetic "receptive, meditative" part of the nervous system and can start to work out the tensions that daily life creates in the muscles. The effects of massage are cumulative, so the best benefit is from a series of sessions received at a regular interval.

Isa Dollyhigh is Nationally Certfied by the National Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and is a Licensed Bodywork and Massage Therapist (# 07070) in the State of North Carolina. She attended Guilford Technical Community College Professional Massage Therapy Program, and she is currently on the faculty there, where she teaches Polarity Therapy, Sound Therapy, and Oriental Bodywork.
