I offer shamanic healing sessions, including soul retrieval, shamanic journey meditation and self-expressive arts. I approach each session as a transformative, soul-healing ritual guided by Spirit. Using a variety of approaches (shamanic journeying, energy work, sound healing, dance, Laban-Bartenieff body movement) I guide clients to create energetic shifts through physical, mental, emotional and spiritual avenues. A Wounded Healer myself, each modality I offer clients is a technique I’ve used to survive and thrive.

I have practiced contemporary shamanic healing since 1995 and work as a Shamanic Practitioner at Healing Earth Resources, Chicago. In 2003, I received an M.A. in Applied Professional Studies from De Paul University, with the focus area "Creating healing ritual through the arts." In 1991, I received a Certificate in Movement Analysis from the Laban Institute in New York. I have studied shamanism, energy work and healing ritual with numerous teachers, including the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. I also have over thirty years of professional performing and teaching experience in dance, music and performance art which I incorporate into my shamanic healing practice.

The philosophy of shamanic healing is to mend broken ties of community. This may mean restoring the somatic (mind-body)connection; encouraging a dialogue among the various soul parts within an individual; introducing a person to his spirit guides; connecting a client to the “more-than-human” matrix of Nature; or helping a person find her expressive “voice” through singing and dancing.

Every person has the ability to heal him/herself, and my work is to encourage clients to access this inner ability. The sessions are not only about healing the issues of the moment, but also teach invaluable skills of self-expression, meditation, body awareness and observing thought patterns which can enable clients to heal themselves for the rest of their lives. The ultimate goal is for clients to learn how to stay energetically healthy through knowing these techniques.

I see clients by appointment Tuesdays through Saturdays. Sessions are 90 minutes for $90.
