Grandmother LongWalker combines her education, musical and artistic talents, experience, wisdom and Cherokee heritage. From these various backgrounds she is able to synthesize and create her own, individual healing techniques and council. Her strength lies in her ability to help others. Grandmother LongWalker's metaphysical beliefs, words of wisdom and healing abilities are a great comfort to those who seek healing on each level of the Mind, Body, Spirit and connection with Nature (also known as Cherokee "Medicine Ways"). At the age of 10, Grandmother LongWalker intuitively learned "the medicine" from her Cheorkee Grandmother and Aunt, who were both "Plant Medicine" and Metaphysical Healers. From this rich background have come, Grandmother LongWalker's journey through education, life, accomplishments as an author, a teacher, singer, story teller and practitioner of "the Medicine". Always a learner and teacher, Grandmother LongWalker has dedicated herself to assisting others as they journey.

Profile and Credentials

Grandmother LongWalker is a Cherokee Elder, Traditionalist/Healer and practioner of Cherokee "Medicine Ways". Grandmother LongWalker is a published author, speaker, director of the Cherokee Spirit Education Center in North Carolina, Chairman of the Tsalagi Nation Kituwah - Cherokee Early Emigrants 1817 and a member of the Sacred Cherokee War Womens' Society. Grandmother LongWalker is dedicated to preserving Cherokee Healing Practices, Cherokee Culture, Language, Cherokee Ceremony and to nurturing and preserving Life. She has formal and classical training in in Holistic Health, Homeopathy, Herbology, Iridology, and Naturopathy. She is also a student of Traditional Native American "Medicine". Grandmother LongWalker holds BA & MA degrees in Communication, BS, MS and Doctorate of Healthology. Grandmother LongWalker is classically trained in the healing arts as a liscensed Holistic Pratitioner, a Certified/Liscensed Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Doctor of Naturopathy (ND). Additionally, Grandmother Longwalker is Cherokee Ordained Minister, DM. Grandmother LongWalker exemplfies her rich heritage, wisdom and understanding of Native "Medicine Ways" recieved from her Cherokee family and notable Elder Cherokees such as Dr. JT Garrett and Grandmother RedLeaf and other Iroquoian Elders such as Grandmother Twylah Nitsch (Seneca), Ted Williams (Tuscaroa), and Grandmother Sara Smith (Mohawk). Grandmother LongWalker has combined classical/formal healing modalities with Native "Medicine Ways" and in this way, has and is, "Walking Her Truth" in her dedication to preserving Balance and Health.
