MELANIE VOTAW is a Hypnotherapist/Transformational Counselor, certified by Dick Sutphen in 1988, and in private practice in New York City ever since. The author of five non-fiction books on various subjects, she has taught the "Discovering Your Life Purpose" course for The Seminar Center and The Learning Annex in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego, as well as a class entitled "Creating the Life You Want" at the Source of Life Center. Teaching and counseling are a passion and even a compulsion for me - indeed a primary part of my "life purpose." Through helping others to release their fears, cultivate creativity, hear their inner wisdom, and manifest their dreams, my own life is vastly more meaningful and joyful.

Rather than impart knowledge, I strive to share, inspire, and help awaken in my clients what is dormant within them. It seems to me that as more and more of us open to our divine nature, to possibility, and to a more profound definition of happiness, the world will no doubt become a better place.

The universe offers us a continuous, infinite well of unconditional love. I'm constantly reminded of the intense need we all share to receive this love. We?re taught not to trust it, and we often fight it tooth and nail. But when we allow it to permeate our hearts, we feel a connection to all things and a fulfillment beyond description. This is the hallmark of my work and my life.
