I currently have a private holistic healing practice where I offer sessions that incorporate Reiki, Healing Touch, Guided Imagery, Relaxation Techniques, Mindfulness Based Stress Management and Healing Herbs. I believe in the benefits of an integrative approach to health and health care, and I am willing to work with clients and their healthcare practitioners in exploring ways to create and strenthen an integrative plan of health care. I particularly enjoy working with clients who are preparing for surgery and undergoing chemotherapy. I also teach classes on a variety of topics, including Mindfulness Based Stress Management and Healing Herbs - including the use of pure essential oils and flower essences. I facilitate an Ai Chi aquatic exercise group and offer Reiki attunements.

I was a registered nurse for more than 35 years, in perioperative, acute and long term care. I am a non-traditional Usui Reiki Master/Teacher and a Healing Touch Practitioner. I have studied the use of Guided Imagery to assist individuals prepare for surgery with Peggy Huddleston. I have studied medicinal herbalism with Rosemary Gladstar, Matthew Wood and Phyllis Light. I incorporate the use of essential oils and healing herbs in my work. I helped to establish and then, for 7 years, coordinated a program of Complementary and Alternative Medicine at Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, VT. I have also worked with aromatherapy in area nursing homes. I am a pracitioner in the Healing Arts Clinic, located at the hospital.

I believe in the connection of body, mind and spirit. I believe that we are primarily spiritual beings in physical bodies to learn the lessons that involve physical experience. In my practice I work with individuals to reach a place of holistic balance - a place of healing. I experience my role as one who guides and supports the process - a partnership and journey in which both travelers deepen their knowledge and understanding, activating an innate potential for wholeness.

Hours by appointment. Usual one hour session - $50 After initial session, half hour sessions are available for $30.

Home visits available within a 50 mile radius with additional fee for mileage.

I am also available to teach classes and attune individuals to Reiki. Fees vary. Please contact me for further information.
