Ayurveda, a gift of ancient India to the world - the science of life - has brought true health and undying beauty to millions of individuals through the ages with simple prescriptions for daily living practices. This ancient art of healing has been practiced continuously for over 5,000 years.
Incorporating just a few of Ayurveda’s proven methods into your lifestyle can bring about a radical improvement in your state of well-being.
Ayurveda recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and bases its treatments and recommendations on the conception of the tridosha, or three distinct psycho-physical constitutions: kapha, pitta and vata, roughly analogous to the Western concepts of ‘body types’ although in practice much more detailed and sophisticated.
Ayurveda utilizes all of nature's healing agents to promote, maintain or in cases where it is necessary, restore the vibrant natural balance that is known as 'health.' Through gentle, effective therapies including nutritional guidance, lifestyle recommendations, counselling, the use of herbal medicines, manipulative therapies and other physical, psychological and spiritual modalities, the equipoise of dynamic good health is achieved - very often, where all other approahces have failed.
